Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information UNBEATEN ("we", "us") collects when you visit unbeaten.gg, play on our game servers, join our Discord or buy from our store, why we collect it, who it's shared with, and the choices you have. In short: we collect what we need to run fair servers and a working website, we never sell it, and our website sets no tracking cookies.

The website

Analytics. We count visits with Umami Analytics (analytics.unbeaten.gg), which uses no cookies and builds no profile of you. It records the page visited, the referring site, your browser, operating system and device type, and your country (worked out from your IP address, which isn't stored). We use it only to see what's used and improve the site.

Security and delivery. All traffic passes through Cloudflare, which protects the site from attacks and serves it quickly. Cloudflare processes your IP address to do this and may set a short-lived, strictly necessary cookie to tell people from bots. Our own server keeps short technical logs (such as the address a request came from and when) to keep the site running and stop abuse.

Fonts. Our pages load the Lato typeface from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google's servers, which see your IP address. See Google's privacy policy.

Kit Maker. Kits you design are saved only in your own browser (local storage) and never sent to us. A share link carries the kit after the #, a part of the address browsers don't send to servers. We only see a kit if you send us its link, for example in a ticket; when staff add it to a server, our bot checks it with this site, which logs the kit's name and the time.

Cookies. The website sets no cookies of its own, and no advertising or tracking cookies of any kind.

Game servers

When you play on our servers, they record:

• Your account: your Steam ID and name on Unturned, or your Minecraft username and UUID on Minecraft.
• Gameplay statistics: kills, deaths, playtime, buildings, resources and the like, which power the leaderboards.
• Ranks and purchases: the ranks and perks on your account.
• Moderation records: warnings, mutes and bans, with their reasons, dates, durations and the staff member involved. In-game chat is checked by our auto-moderation, and messages or evidence may be kept with a record.
• IP addresses: our Unturned servers don't collect your IP address. Our Minecraft and Rust servers record the IP address you connect from, used only for moderation (such as enforcing bans and catching ban evasion) and never shown on this website.

The games themselves and their anti-cheat (such as BattlEye in Unturned), Steam, and Microsoft or Mojang for Minecraft handle their own data under their own privacy policies.

What's public

Player profiles and leaderboards on this website are public. A profile shows your Steam name and Steam ID, your statistics, your ranks, and your ban and mute history with reasons. They're public so the community can see the leaderboards and that rules are enforced fairly. If you think something on your profile is wrong, open a ticket.

Discord & store

Discord. In our Discord, we and our bots see what you post there, your Discord username and ID, and your roles. Support tickets and moderation actions are logged so we can handle them and look back on them. The home page shows only our total member and online counts, taken from Discord's public invite information. Discord's own privacy policy applies to Discord.

Store. Purchases are handled by Tebex under the store privacy policy. We only receive what we need to deliver your purchase, such as your in-game name or ID and what you bought.

Why we use it

• To run our servers, website and Discord, keep them secure and stop cheating and abuse (our legitimate interest in a fair, working service).
• To enforce our rules, including bans across the network and catching ban evasion (legitimate interest).
• To show statistics and leaderboards (legitimate interest; it's part of what players come for).
• To deliver what you buy and help with purchase problems (to perform our agreement with you).
• To understand how the website is used, without cookies or profiles (legitimate interest).
• When the law requires it.

Who we share it with

We don't sell or rent your information, and we don't use it for advertising. It's handled by the services named above, which help us run things (hosting, Cloudflare, Umami, Google Fonts, Discord and Tebex), and is otherwise shared only when the law requires it or to protect our players and services, for example in response to fraud or attacks. Our servers are in Europe, North America and Asia and these services operate worldwide, so your information may be handled outside your country.

How long we keep it

• Statistics: while our servers run, unless you ask us to delete them. Some modes reset stats when they wipe.
• Moderation records and IP addresses used for bans: as long as needed to enforce the punishment, which for permanent bans means permanently.
• Website and server logs: a short time, then deleted.
• Purchase records: as long as needed to support your purchase and meet legal and accounting duties.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example in the EU or UK), you can ask to see the information we hold about you, have it corrected, have it deleted, or object to how we use it. Email us or open a ticket, and we'll check the account is yours first.

We don't delete moderation records or ban details while they're needed to enforce a punishment, or anything we need to deal with fraud or chargebacks. If you're unhappy with our answer, you can complain to your local data protection authority.

Age

You must be at least 13 to use our services. If you believe a child under 13 has given us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
